DIRECT ANSWER

What is a blow bar?

A blow bar is the replaceable wear part bolted to the rotor of a horizontal-shaft impact crusher. It strikes the feed material directly, so it is cast in manganese steel for toughness or high-chrome iron for abrasion resistance depending on the feed. Bars are replaced in sets when worn unevenly or when impact energy drops.

Cast Bespoke to Your Machine

Every blow bar we cast is matched to the specific rotor it will run in: either to your own drawing, to the worn bar you send us, or to OEM dimensions you confirm with us directly. We don’t publish a public catalogue of drawing numbers or client specifications: casting to your machine’s exact requirement, rather than off a generic reference list, is how we keep fit and balance right first time.

Send your crusher make and model, a drawing, or a worn sample, and we will confirm dimensions, material grade and hardness before we quote.

Horizontal-shaft impact crushers (HSI) used in quarrying and recycling. Machine list to be confirmed per OEM.

FAQ: Blow Bars

Wear life depends on feed hardness, rotor speed and duty cycle. [TBC: confirm typical wear-life ranges before publishing.]
Yes: dimensions are taken off the worn bar and a pattern made if no drawing is available.
Mn steel suits high-impact duty and is the tougher choice; high-Cr iron is worth the extra cost where feed is hard and abrasive and impact loading is moderate.
MOQ depends on the product and a number of other factors. Send us your part number or drawing and we’ll confirm the minimum for your order.
